The Reiki Training Centre’s Aberdeen Reiki Reunion was held in the Beach Ballroom, Aberdeen on Sunday 15th August 2004.
The 15th of August was the anniversary of Dr. Usui’s birthday (World Reiki Day) the 4th Reiki Reunion/Scottish and UK Reiki Festival opened with a special Gassho and Buddhist Dedication Ceremony.
This year the charity chosen for the proceeds was the Sudan appeal, for which we raised nearly £350.
We would like to thank everyone who attended and made this possible, particularly those of you who came from the furthest reaches of the country!
Thanks especially to the workshop presenters:
Lynne Todd led the Dru Yoga session.
Dru yoga is an Indian tradition, brought to the UK by Mansukh Patel, head of the Life Foundation.
Since the weather was sunny and very hot Lynne led a wonderful yoga session on Aberdeen Beach!
Robert Jefford presented a brilliant Energy Workshop. Trained by the Soke Dai, Robert is Director of the Reiki Educational Institute. We all had great fun using energy in interesting ways.
Mark led a fascinating introductory Workshop on EFT – Emotional Freedom Techniques. TFT (Thought Field Therapy) and EFT are the new buzzwords in psychology, NLP & hypnotherapy circles. They both use focused awareness and the stimulation of various acupuncture points to assist us to easily and quickly let go of any distressing emotions, from fears & phobias to guilt & trauma.
Zoë Toussaint led a beautiful relaxing meditation on Angels & Archangels and was offering Angel readings throughout the day.
We hosted a UK Reiki Federation Meeting so delegates could meet their local area representatives and we were delighted to welcome Mari Stevenson (vice chair) and Robert Jefford (UKRF Committee) who both came all the way from the South of England to share the latest information on National Occupational Standards and Research & Development.
Closing World Healing Ceremony with Elizabeth.
